Beltrame Civil was engaged by the Aretzis Group to construct a DN225 Sewer Diversion as early works on the construction of a new distribution warehouse for Metcash. This project had an extremely tight contract program and in 4 weeks our team completed the excavation and installation of approximately 650m of DN225 Sewer at depths of 2.5m to 4.0m, construction of 3 DN1050 Sewer Manholes at depths of 2.5m to 4.0m, construction of 6 DN225 Sewer Maintenance Shafts at depths of 2.5m to 4.0m, live linkup and construction of a DN1050 Sewer Manhole on the downstream existing DN300VC trunk main within Port Wakefield Road and the upstream DN150PVC at Main North Road, diversion of an existing DN75 Sewer Rising Main, and reinstatement of asphalt pavements to DPTI Figure 4 & Figure 7 requirement.
Extensive preconstruction engagement with local stakeholders, including Metcash and authorities such as DPTI was required to effectively manage traffic, detour routes and local access.
The installation of 1200m of 300mm uPVC sewer trunk main at a trench depth ranging from 4 to 5m. The installation of 4 precast manholes which were epoxy lined insitu. The project called for extensive liaison with DPTI and South Link Busses to effectively manage traffic and detour routes.
This package consisted of the construction of 1000m of 750mm MSCL potable water pipeline between Lower Portrush Road and OG Road, through Vale Park and Klemzig. The project involved the excavation and installation of pipeline within this densely populated residential area, at depths between 4.5m and 3m. In addition, the scope included the alteration of approximately 20 residential sewer lot connections and the construction of a number of large scour valve structures.
The installation of 920 metres of DN250 oPVC Series 2 PN16 Rubber Ring Joint Lilac Pipe adjoining the Mt Barker WWTP, inclusive of supply and installation of air valves, a stop valve and a magnetic flow meter. The project also included directional drilling of approx. 144 metres of DN355 HDPE pipe, in various locations including crossings of Mount Barker Creek and significant tree areas. Beltrame Civil liaised with DCMB and local stakeholders to develop a successfully implemented Pedestrian Management Plan.
Trenching and installation of 600m of 225mm PVC rising main, with 3 air vales and 2 scour valves. The project included 80m of trenching through a 5m high tunnel under the South Eastern Freeway. Intensive liaison with local stakeholders was required as the project restricted access between the townships of Mount Barker and Nairne.
