Beltrame Civil was engaged by the SA Housing Authority to deliver civil works for the Morphettville Stage 3 project, involving the creation of 38 new lots. The project scope comprised bulk and detailed earthworks; construction of retaining walls; installation of sewer and water mains and associated lot connections; stormwater drainage; road construction including pavement, kerb and asphalt; concrete footpaths and driveways; electrical and communication works; and public lighting.
The overall scope of works included demolition and disposal of existing asphalt and concrete; cut-to-fill of over 1500m3 of fill; construction of over 400m of concrete sleeper retaining wall and good neighbour fencing; construction of 1700m2 of new road including 710m of new kerb, granular pavement and asphalt; construction of 770m2 of new grey concrete footpath and 450m2 of concrete driveway crossover; installation of over 250m of 375 RCP stormwater drainage and 21 SEPs, grated inlet pits and junction boxes; installation of 200m of sewer main, associated manholes and maintenance shafts and 16 lot connections; installation of 255m of water main, associated fire plugs and stop valves and 24 lot connections; and installation of 5 new streetlights.

The contract comprised four stages to prepare brownfield sites for residential subdivision. The project scope included bulk and detailed earthworks; construction of retaining walls; installation of sewer and water mains and associated lot connections; stormwater drainage; road construction including pavement, kerb and asphalt; concrete footpaths and driveways; electrical and communication works; public lighting; and landscaping.
The overall scope of works included demolition and disposal of existing asphalt and concrete; importation and placement of over 7500m3 of fill; construction of over 200m of concrete sleeper retaining wall; construction of 2,000m2 of new road including 730m of new kerb, granular pavement and asphalt; construction of 1250m2 of new grey concrete footpath and 1600m2 of concrete driveway crossover; installation of over 350m of 375 RCP stormwater drainage and supply & installation of 24 DSEPs; installation of 380m of sewer main, associated manholes and maintenance shafts and 55 lot connections; installation of 270m of water main, associated fire plugs and stop valves and 45 lot connections; landscaping works including planting of 68 street trees and associated maintenance; and installation of 9 new street lights.
Beltrame Civil was engaged by the City of Playford to construct an expansion of their Angle Vale Community Sports Precinct, which included a new football oval, soccer pitch, carpark, and associated works. The project scope encompassed 7,500m3 Cut-to-fill to form a new detention basin; 22,000m2 of topsoil stripping; 3,000m3 of boxout to subgrade for the new football and soccer fields; supply and installation of over 700m of new stormwater drainage, including headwalls, junction boxes, DSEPs and grated inlet pits; supply and installation of new subsurface irrigation to both sport fields; the importation and placement of 15,000T of Port Clinton top-dressing sand to both fields; installation of new irrigation systems to both fields including pop up sprinklers; the supply and lay of over 25,000m2 of kikuyu turf; the supply and installation of 6m high AFL backstop fencing, 6m high Soccer backstop fencing, 130m of 6m high Cricket backstop fencing and 1.8m high privacy fencing; supply and installation of 27m high sports lighting towers and all associated electrical work to both fields; construction of a new Wisconsin wastewater treatment system, including new submersible pump; hardscaping including cement treated footpaths, paved footpath picnic settings and boxes; and landscaping including over 50 new street trees.
Beltrame Civil was engaged by BMD to undertake bulk excavation cut-and-fill and road formation for the construction of Lanser Communities Aston Hills Blefari Stage 4 Land Division. We worked collaboratively with BMD to deliver a staged completion program which allowed numerous work fronts to operate concurrently. Beltrame Civil delivered the bulk excavation package ahead of time which allowed BMD to accelerate its construction program. Works included the demolition and disposal of existing vegetation, irrigation and concrete water tanks; stripping to stockpile 68,000m2 of topsoil; 19,000m3 of cut to fill for Level 1 certified lot fill; 5,000m3 of cut to disposal of unsuitable rock; trim and prepare retaining walls for 85 benched allotments; and trim and compact of allotments and road pavement subgrades.
Construction of a 3,000m2 bio-retention basin with a storage capacity of 3ML for a new land division in Reid; including installation of pipework, outfall structures and a gross-pollutant trap. The project scope included a considerable bulk earthworks component of 2,000m3 cut-to-fill and importation of a further 7,000m3 of fill. The basin included a compacted clay liner with multiple drainage layers comprised of imported aggregate with layers of coarse sand. Installation of 3,000m2 of JutemasterTM matting for batter protection and weed control and 1,100m2 of GrassrootsTM revegetation and erosion control matting was also required. Additional works included placement of topsoil for planting of aquatic and dryland plants and approx. 4,300m2 of hydro-seeding.
The construction of two professional size football/cricket ovals incorporating subsoil drainage, bulk earthworks, gabion retaining walls, and importation of 12,000t of special blend loam. The project scope also included an irrigation system and cricket pitch. All playing surfaces were finished utilising GPS & TPS machine control.
Construction of two detention basins totalling 5,000m2 at two separate locations approximately 9km apart. The first location being at the Torrens Linear Park, Dernancourt and the second location at Kingfisher Reserve, Modbury Heights. This project involved the bulk cut-to-fill and cut-to-dispose of approximately 12,000m3 of spoil including the construction of a compacted clay liner. Additional works included construction of rubbled path ways, precast concrete boardwalks, outfall structures and pipework to feed the 'Waterproofing Northern Adelaide' ASR scheme.
Damming of the existing creek and realignment of the 140m x 10m x 3m waterway, cut to fill on site of 30,000m3, gabions, clay lining, rock drop structures. Major erosion and sediment control procedures were required to ensure protection of the native flora and fauna.
