Beltrame Civil was recently awarded a package of works, by Electranet, for the construction of 15 concrete transformer bunds, concrete firewalls and associated civil works at 7 substations located across South Australia. The project requires the concrete bunds to be constructed around transformers currently in operation; as such, Beltrame Civil was selected in part for its extensive experience working in and around live substations.
In the first stage of this multi-year project, Beltrame Civil crews will commence works on-site next week at the Berri Substation, for the construction of two 200m2 concrete bunds and associated firewalls.
